Registry Research
Study Proposals
Study proposals are submitted using the Study Proposal Form and emailed to
PANC-PALS@nyulangone.org by October 21, 2026, for the upcoming Assembly.
Submission
Submitted proposals are circulated to consortium members prior to the Assembly, where they are reviewed and voted on.
Each site may submit up to two proposals per cycle, with a maximum of 10 proposals approved per cycle.
Review & Approval
Approval requires a two-thirds majority, with each center receiving an equally weighted vote. Members will recuse themselves from voting on proposals from their own institution.
Similar proposals may be combined into a collaborative study.
After Approval
Study leads receive notification of proposal approval approximately three weeks after the Assembly.
PANC-PALS Assembly
The PANC-PALS Assembly is held three times per year and provides a forum for consortium members to discuss registry findings, ongoing research, and new study proposals. Meetings are held virtually, with in-person meetings held when appropriate in conjunction with major international conferences.
The Assembly brings together the PANC-PALS Coordinators and Scientific Committee members. The Scientific Committee consists of one principal investigator from each participating center and helps guide the direction of the consortium and the development of collaborative research studies. Site co-investigators are invited to participate as observers.
Join us for the first PANC-PALS Assembly on November 18, 2026.
Data Entry & Quality
Participating centers enter patient data into the PANC-PALS Registry on an ongoing basis. Data are collected retrospectively from 2014 and prospectively thereafter, with participating centers maintaining control of their own data. Registry data are monitored to assess completeness, consistency, and the quality of data distributed across participating centers.
Data Access & Authorship
Following study approval and confirmation of participating centers, anonymized pooled registry data are made available to approved study team through a secure virtual machine.

Data Access
Data access will be available for six months.
Data cannot be downloaded directly; the PANC-PALS team will manage data extraction as needed for approved studies.

Authorship
Listed authorship will be based on each center's patient contribution to the study.
The lead center will receive two additional listed authors.
All PANC-PALS consortium partners will receive collaborator group authorship.
Journal-specific authorship requirements will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
